Dr Frederick Cox – Mine Doctor

Helensburgh & District Historical Society’s latest publication in our Helensburgh District Pioneers’ Series.

Dr Frederick Henry Cox was employed as the Mine Doctor from 1910 to 1942. He lived in Robertson Street, Helensburgh. He built his Surgery at the front of his residence in 8 Robertson Street. This building was transferred to its current site at 78 Parkes Street, Helensburgh, and is now known as the Old Mine Surgery.
