Heavy rain earlier in the year caused a rock fall near the entrance to the old Metropolitan Tunnel. In late May Helensburgh & District Landcare group members held a working bee to move the rocks off the rail, and remove rubbish and graffiti.
We love to see so much interest in our local abandoned rail tunnel. It is certainly a popular place for photographers. Much interest has been generated with the 5 June article in the Daily Telegraph.
It would be really appreciated, however, if visitors took their rubbish and muddy shoes with them after their visit. This site is maintained by volunteers.
